Funding from this call will support producer organizations, aiming to strengthen their capacity and enhance income and food security in vulnerable communities. GAFSP has received 41 final proposals, with more than 60% coming from the Africa region. The total amount allocated was $33.93 million for fifteen Producer Organizations (PO) in thirteen low-income countries across the globe.

Unlike previous GAFSP Calls, this Call was designed to fill financing gaps in country-led programs and support in-country development partners’ coordination and alignment. We received complete applications from 28 countries, with 80% of the requested amount for investment in the Africa region. Demand for financing remains high and highlights the needs of low-income countries.

Funding from this call will support medium- to long-term COVID-19 response efforts for a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient recovery of agriculture systems in a changing climate. GAFSP received complete applications from 40 countries and 42 Producer Organizations. The total amount requested was US$888.66 million and US$116.24 million, respectively.

Launched on May 21, 2010, to all IDA countries that were not in non-accrual status, this call for proposals had 2 deadlines. GAFSP received complete applications from 26 countries and 12 received funding. Successful countries were awarded funding in June 2010, November 2010, or June 2011.
